Brighton Science, a leading provider of advanced materials testing and engineering services, is excited to announce that two of its employees will present technical papers at the upcoming CAMX 2024 conference. The conference, taking place in Anaheim, California, is a premier global event for the composites industry.
Rose Roberts, Sr. Custom Applications & Materials Engineer, will present a paper titled "Validation of CFRP Surface Preparation using Water Contact Angle." In her presentation, Roberts will discuss the importance of proper surface preparation for carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRPs) and how water contact angle measurements can assess surface quality.
Joann Hilman, Sr. Physicist at Brighton Science, will present a paper titled "Replacing Water Break Testing for Objective and Quantitative Control of Coating and Bonding Processes." Hilman's presentation will explore the limitations of the traditional water break test and propose water contact angle analysis as a more reliable and objective method for evaluating surface cleanliness and bondability.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share our expertise with the composites industry at CAMX 2024," said Andy Reeher, CEO at Brighton Science. "Our presentations highlight our commitment to providing innovative solutions for controlling coating and bonding processes in composite materials.”
